"I am terrified." OZZL head reacts to death of attacked doctor

- I am terrified by what happened. The doctor was sitting in the clinic, a respected orthopedic doctor, and a patient came to him for advice. We already know that psychiatric wards are dangerous, but now every doctor will be afraid - says the head of the OZZL in an interview with Rynek Zdrowia.

- We will all be afraid for our lives because we don't know who will come to visit us - he warns.

As she admits, she is in shock. "I would never have thought that someone could come and kill a doctor who saves our lives," she adds.

Grażyna Cebula-Kubat says that she has already asked the ministry, she has been to talks, because after visiting psychiatric wards and seeing how dangerous they are, she asked for certain things that need to be done to improve the safety of staff.

- I thought there was a bigger danger there, but it turns out it's everywhere, he admits.

- Not only are we few in number, we are overloaded, but if we are to start fearing for our own safety now, he warns.

As Grażyna Cebula-Kubat says, some doctors, especially older ones, may resign from work out of fear for their lives.
